Grid connections

Clearer DNSP pathways. Stronger technical submissions.

Connection engineering for 30 kW–1.5 MW solar PV, BESS and hybrid projects — built around complete inputs, traceable assumptions and disciplined technical coordination.

Connection scope

Control the technical pathway before it controls the project.

For C&I solar and BESS, the grid application is not an isolated form-filling exercise. Equipment data, operating modes, protection, export limits and site design all need to tell the same story.

01

Feasibility & pathway review

Review the proposed system, site electrical arrangement, likely connection class, available project information and the technical questions that need to be resolved first.

02

Application preparation

Prepare the connection documentation, technical schedules, diagrams and supporting information required for the relevant DNSP process.

03

Technical coordination

Keep inverter, BESS, protection, metering, operating modes and design assumptions aligned so the submission remains technically coherent.

04

DNSP response management

Track technical queries and RFIs, prepare engineering responses, update controlled documents and maintain visibility of open items and decisions.

05

Approval handover

Carry connection conditions and network feedback into the engineering package so the design and delivery team are working from the approved basis.

Typical outputs

A submission pack that can survive technical review.

The exact package depends on the DNSP and project, but the goal is consistent: make inputs, assumptions, equipment data and technical responses easy to follow.

01

Application documentation

Forms, schedules, supporting statements and controlled technical attachments prepared for the applicable connection process.

02

Single-line & interface diagrams

Clear representation of connection architecture, protection, metering, generation, storage and site interfaces.

03

Technical responses

Structured answers to network queries with revisions and supporting calculations traceable back to the current design basis.

Experience across DNSP areas

Relevant network-facing experience across multiple states.

Project experience brought into Renex includes connection work in Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy, Energex and Jemena network areas, spanning solar-only and hybrid solar + BESS projects.
